We handle personal data in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What you give us

• Enquiry, contact and newsletter forms: name, email, phone / WhatsApp number, travel dates, number of travellers, destination and your message.
• Bookings: names, ages and genders of the travellers, and copies of ID documents (passport or Voter ID) needed for hotels, permits and entry to Nepal or Bhutan.
• Information you choose to share for a safe trip: medical conditions, mobility needs, dietary preferences.
• Reviews and photos you send us.

What is collected automatically

• Technical data such as IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit – through cookies and analytics tools (see below).

We do not store card or bank details. Payments are processed by your bank or a payment provider.

• to reply to your enquiry and prepare quotations;
• to book and manage your hotels, transport, flights, permits and guides;
• to stay in touch before and during your trip, including emergencies;
• to send newsletters and offers – only if you subscribed, and you can unsubscribe any time;
• to improve our website and services, and to prevent spam and fraud;
• to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We share only the details needed for each service with:

• hotels, transport operators, airlines, railways, guides and local partners who provide your trip;
• government and border authorities that issue permits and entry documents (for example for Nepal, Bhutan and restricted areas);
• service providers that help us run our business – email, hosting, analytics – under confidentiality obligations;
• authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell or rent your personal data.

Our website uses a few cookies that it needs to work (for example to protect forms against spam). With analytics tools such as Google Analytics we see, in aggregated form, how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

Videos on our pages are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode – YouTube and Vimeo set their cookies only after you press play. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working without analytics cookies.

• Enquiries that did not lead to a booking: up to 2 years, so we can help you when you plan again.
• Booking records and invoices: as long as tax and accounting laws require (usually 8 years).
• Copies of ID documents: deleted within 6 months after your trip, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

Our website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to your data is limited to staff who need it for your trip, and our systems are protected with passwords and regular updates. No system is completely secure, so please share ID documents only through the channels we give you.

We collect data about children only from their parent or guardian, and only to book their travel services. Our website is not directed at children.

Our pages link to other websites (for example Google Maps, YouTube, WhatsApp and social media). Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
