Explore three very different faces of the North East. Begin among the waterfalls, root bridges and clear rivers of Meghalaya, go on a jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park, home to most of the world's one-horned rhinos, and end in Nagaland with the Kohima War Cemetery, the green village of Khonoma and a trek to the Dzukou Valley.

Drive (about 6 hours) to Kaziranga National Park on the banks of the Brahmaputra.

Jeep safari in the park in search of one-horned rhinos, wild water buffalo, elephants and swamp deer (an early-morning elephant safari can be added). Afternoon at the orchid park.

Drive via Dimapur into the Naga Hills to Kohima. Visit the Kohima War Cemetery.

Drive to Viswema and trek about 3 - 4 hours to the Dzukou Valley for sunset over the green hills.

Trek down after sunrise and visit the green village of Khonoma and the Kisama Heritage Village on the way back to Kohima.

Drive to Dimapur airport or railway station for your onward journey.
November to April. Kaziranga National Park is open only from about October / November to April and closes during the monsoon.
Yes. Indian citizens from outside Nagaland need an Inner Line Permit (ILP), which can be applied for online before the trip - we help you with it. Foreign nationals need a valid passport and Indian visa and must register with the police after arrival.
