Wake up on a deluxe houseboat on Dal Lake, drift through the floating gardens on a shikara, walk hand in hand in the Mughal gardens, ride the Gulmarg Gondola above the snowfields and spend two quiet nights by the Lidder river in Pahalgam, with a candle-light dinner to remember.
Overnight stay on a deluxe houseboat
Pick-up from Srinagar airport and transfer to your houseboat on Dal Lake. In the evening, a shikara ride past the floating gardens, lotus beds and water-side markets.
Overnight stay on a deluxe houseboat
Visit the Mughal gardens of Nishat, Shalimar and Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal with its views over Dal Lake, and the Hazratbal shrine on the lake shore. Candle-light dinner on the houseboat.
Overnight stay in Srinagar
Drive along the Sindh river to Sonamarg, the Meadow of Gold. Take a pony ride to the Thajiwas Glacier (paid locally), then return to Srinagar.
Overnight stay in Gulmarg
Drive to Gulmarg (about 2 hours) and ride the Gulmarg Gondola to Kongdori and, weather permitting, towards Apharwat peak. Walk in the meadow and visit St Mary's Church.
Overnight stay in Pahalgam
Drive to Pahalgam via the saffron fields of Pampore and the temple ruins of Avantipura. Evening by the Lidder river.
Overnight stay in Pahalgam
A day for the two of you in the valleys of Pahalgam - Betaab Valley, Aru Valley and Chandanwari by local union taxi, or a pony ride through the pine forests.

After breakfast, drive to Srinagar airport (about 2.5 hours) for your onward journey.
