In Bikash's Own Words
I am from a Tharu village on the edge of Chitwan National Park, where rhinos sometimes wander past the rice fields. I became a naturalist to share the forest I grew up in – its birds, crocodiles, elephants and, if we are lucky, the tiger.
On a walk with me you learn to read tracks, listen for alarm calls and spot the kingfisher before it dives. In the evenings I love taking guests to the village for a Tharu stick dance and a home-cooked meal.
