Booking & Payments

Quotes, advance, payment and cancellation

Tell us where and when you would like to travel – use Enquiry Now on any tour, the contact form, call +91 63071 02408 or message us on WhatsApp +91 63071 02408.

We reply with a day-by-day itinerary and an all-inclusive quote, usually within 24 hours. Once you are happy with the plan, a booking advance confirms your hotels and transport.

Was this helpful?

Yes – every package on the website is a starting point. We can add or remove days, change hotels, slow down the pace, combine Nepal with India or Bhutan, or build a completely new route around your interests.

Tell us your travel dates, number of travellers and rough budget, and we will shape the plan to fit.

Each tour page lists its inclusions and exclusions. Most packages include:

  • Hotel stays with the meals mentioned in the itinerary
  • A private vehicle with driver for transfers and sightseeing
  • Driver allowance, fuel, tolls and parking

Usually not included: flights or train tickets (unless mentioned), monument entry tickets, personal expenses and tips. Your quote always spells out exactly what you are paying for.

A part payment confirms your booking and the balance is due before the trip starts – the exact amounts and dates are written on your quote.

You can pay by bank transfer, UPI or the other options listed on your quote, and you receive a receipt for every payment.

Refunds depend on how close to departure you cancel and on the rules of the hotels, airlines and permits already booked for you. The exact terms are written on your quote and booking confirmation, so you know them before you pay.

If your plans change, talk to us first – moving the trip to new dates is often possible and saves you money.

Was this helpful?

No. The quote lists everything that is included and everything that is not, so you know the full cost before you pay. If you ask for something extra during the trip, we tell you the price before arranging it.

Was this helpful?

Yes. Travelling together means the vehicle and guide costs are shared, so the price per person drops as the group grows. Child rates depend on each hotel's policy – share the children's ages and we will include the best rate.

Passport, Visa & Permits

What to carry at the border and airport

No visa is needed. Indian citizens can enter Nepal with either:

  • a valid Indian passport, or
  • a Voter ID card issued by the Election Commission of India.

Aadhaar and PAN cards are not accepted on their own, so please carry your passport or Voter ID. Children travelling with their parents can usually use a birth certificate or school ID – we confirm what each traveller needs when you book.

Indian citizens need a valid Indian passport (at least 6 months validity) or a Voter ID card. The entry permit is issued on arrival at Phuentsholing or Paro airport, and we help you with the forms.

Children can use a birth certificate. Please also carry a few passport-size photos and a copy of your hotel bookings – we send these with your travel documents.

Was this helpful?

Of course. Most foreign nationals can get a Nepal visa on arrival at Kathmandu airport and the main land borders. Bhutan visas are arranged in advance through a licensed tour operator. Share your nationality and we will guide you through the documents for every country on your route.

Most trekking areas need permits – for example the Annapurna Conservation Area permit or the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park entry. We arrange all permits for our treks and include them in the quote; you only need to bring your ID and a few passport-size photos.

Travelling in Nepal

Border, seasons, money and mobile

The Sonauli–Bhairahawa border is about 95 km from Gorakhpur – roughly a 2 to 3 hour drive. From the border, Lumbini is about 30 minutes away, Pokhara and Kathmandu are a full day's drive, or a short flight from Bhairahawa's Gautam Buddha International Airport.

  • October – November: clear skies and the best mountain views – the most popular season.
  • March – May: warm days and rhododendrons in bloom.
  • December – February: cold mornings but clear views; perfect for Kathmandu, Pokhara and Lumbini.
  • June – September: monsoon – green valleys and fewer crowds, but cloudy peaks and occasional landslides on hill roads.

Yes – Indian rupees are widely accepted in Nepal, especially in hotels, shops and taxis in the main towns. Carry smaller notes (₹100), as larger notes are not accepted everywhere. You can also change money into Nepali rupees at banks and exchange counters, and UPI works at a growing number of shops.

Yes, Indian private vehicles can enter Nepal with a customs permit (bhansar) paid per day at the border. Mountain roads are narrow and demanding though, so most of our guests prefer a local vehicle with an experienced hill driver – and it is often cheaper than the permit and fuel.

Indian SIMs work only on international roaming, which can be expensive. A local Nepal Telecom or Ncell SIM is cheap and quick to get with your ID and a photo – we can help you buy one. Almost all hotels offer free Wi-Fi.

Travelling in Bhutan

SDF, routes and the pace of the trip

The SDF is a daily fee charged by the Government of Bhutan for every night you stay, used for conservation, free healthcare and education. Indian nationals pay a lower rate in rupees, and children get concessions. The fee is set by the government and can change, so we always include the current amount in your quote.

There are two easy routes:

  • By air to Paro, with direct flights from cities such as Delhi, Kolkata and Bagdogra.
  • By road through Jaigaon–Phuentsholing – the nearest airport is Bagdogra and the nearest railway stations are New Jalpaiguri and Hasimara.

We suggest the best option for your dates and budget.

Was this helpful?

Very much so. Bhutan is calm, clean and safe, and we plan an easy pace with short drives. The hike to Tiger's Nest (Taktsang) is optional – ponies are available for part of the way, and the viewpoint café is a lovely stop for those who prefer not to climb.

Yatras & Pilgrimages

Muktinath, Pashupatinath and more

Yes – Muktinath is one of our most-loved journeys. We plan it by road or by flight via Pokhara and Jomsom. The temple stands at about 3,800 m, so we build in time to acclimatise and keep a buffer day, as Jomsom flights depend on the weather.

See our Muktinath packages or ask us for a plan for your group.

Yes. We plan the day around darshan timings and special rituals – including the evening aarti on the Bagmati ghats at Pashupatinath – and can add Guhyeshwari, Budhanilkantha, Manakamana, Janakpur, Lumbini and more to your route.

Was this helpful?

Yes, with a little planning. We choose the gentler flight route where possible, add rest days, keep the pace slow and arrange jeeps or ponies for the last stretch to the temple. Pilgrims with heart or breathing problems should consult their doctor before travelling to high altitude.

Pure vegetarian food is easy to find in Nepal and India, and our hotels on yatra routes are chosen with this in mind. Jain meals are arranged on request – just let us know when you book.

On the Trip

Hotels, food, packing, health and support

Our standard packages use clean, well-reviewed 3-star hotels that we check ourselves. Budget stays, 4 and 5-star hotels, heritage properties and mountain lodges are all possible – the hotel names are listed on your quote before you book.

Was this helpful?

Yes. Our guest care team is one call or WhatsApp message away from pick-up to drop-off – +91 63071 02408 – and your driver and guide always have our number. If anything changes on the road, we sort it out for you.

  • Layers and a warm jacket – hill mornings are cool even in summer
  • Comfortable walking shoes and a light rain jacket
  • Your ID or passport, plus photocopies and passport-size photos
  • Personal medicines, sunscreen, sunglasses and a power bank
  • Modest clothing for temples and monasteries

We send a packing list for your exact route with your travel documents.

Our itineraries climb gradually and include rest days at height. Drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol, and tell your guide at once if you get a headache, nausea or feel breathless – the fix is usually to rest or go lower. Please talk to your doctor before the trip if you have any medical condition.

Was this helpful?

Yes. Nepal, India and Bhutan are welcoming to families, and we plan shorter driving days, family rooms, child-friendly food and plenty of breaks. Our private vehicles are driven by experienced drivers who know the hill roads well.
