7 Days / 6 Nights The Sacred Temple of Liberation
A Himalayan pilgrimage at 3,710 m, holy to Hindus
and Buddhists alike.
Muktinath, high in the Mustang district at 3,710 metres, is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in Nepal. Hindus revere it as Mukti Kshetra, the place of liberation, and bathe under its 108 water spouts and in the two holy kunds before darshan of Lord Vishnu; Buddhists honour it as Chumig Gyatsa, where Guru Rinpoche meditated. The journey itself is unforgettable - a flight or drive from Pokhara to Jomsom, then up the dramatic Kali Gandaki valley past the medieval village of Kagbeni.
