6 Days / 5 Nights Paradise on Earth
Houseboats on Dal Lake, snowy Gulmarg and
the green meadows of Sonamarg and Pahalgam.
Kashmir, often called paradise on earth, is a valley of lakes, meadows and snow peaks in the far north of India. In Srinagar you can stay on a carved wooden houseboat on Dal Lake, glide past floating gardens in a shikara and stroll the terraced Mughal gardens of Nishat, Shalimar and Pari Mahal. Ride the Gulmarg Gondola towards the snows of Apharwat, take a pony to the Thajiwas Glacier in Sonamarg, follow the Lidder river through Pahalgam and picnic in the quiet meadows of Doodhpathri. In spring the Tulip Garden bursts into colour, and in winter Gulmarg becomes one of the best ski resorts in Asia.
