4 Days / 3 Nights The Gateway to the Gods
Holy dips at Har Ki Pauri, the grand evening Ganga Aarti
and hilltop temples on the banks of the Ganga.
Haridwar, where the Ganga leaves the Himalayas and enters the plains, is one of the seven holiest cities of Hinduism and a host of the Kumbh Mela. Its most sacred ghat, Har Ki Pauri, is believed to bear the footprint of Lord Vishnu, and every evening thousands gather there for the Ganga Aarti as leaf-boat diyas float down the river. Take the ropeway to the hilltop temples of Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi, visit the ashrams, and continue just 25 km upstream to Rishikesh.

Har Ki Pauri, Ganga Aarti, Temples
The best time to visit Haridwar is from September to November and February to April, when the weather is pleasant for temple visits and the evening aarti. Winters are cool and comfortable, while the monsoon (July - August) swells the Ganga and the Kanwar Yatra brings very large crowds.
